Suspect Arrested after Officer Hears Shots Fired

San Rafael CA:  On Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at approximately 11:20PM Officer George Schikore was handling a call for service in the area of Andersen Drive near Albert Park.  Officer Schikore heard the sound of rapid multiple gunshots in the area.  Officer Schikore and other SRPD Officers immediately checked the area and found a witness who reported seeing a suspect, later identified as Pierre Saucer a 32 year old male with no fixed address in San Rafael, standing outside of a parked car and arguing with someone inside the car.  S-Saucer and the parked dark colored car were in the Safeway parking lot at 700 ‘B’ Street.  

The witness reported heard S-Saucer threaten to kill the occupant of the car and then heard the shots.  The witness saw S-Saucer start to run from the area when he was contacted by officers.  Several spent bullet casings were found where S-Saucer was standing.  The vehicle left the area and was not located.  No victims were found and no evidence of injury was discovered at the crime scene.  S- Saucer was subsequently arrested for 245(a) (2)PC; Assault with a deadly weapon using a firearm, 422PC - Criminal Threats, 148(a)(1)PC – Resisting / Obstructing and 12022.1PC – Committing a felony while out on bail.  (S- Saucer is on bail for another alleged shooting.)

SRPD Officers contacted the Marin County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Unit to assist with a search of the area in an attempt to locate the weapon.  At the time of this release, a weapon has not been located. This investigation is continuing,
