San Rafael Police Team Up with Alcohol Beverage Control to Make Drug Arrests in Downtown San Rafael

Officers in the Street Crimes Unit with the San Rafael Police Department and Agents from the Alcohol and Beverage Control collaborated to try and curb drug use and sales in the areas around, the Transit Center and local liquor establishment.  In recent months, the San Rafael Police Department has received an increase in complaints concerning drug sales, discarded needles and disorderly conduct in those areas.  

As a result:

1.    A 15-year-old male juvenile and resident of San Rafael was arrested for resisting arrest and selling marijuana to an undercover officer at the Transit Center.  

2.    Nelson Calderon Rachac, a 26-year-old male from San Rafael was arrested for selling cocaine to an undercover officer at a local liquor establishment.  He was booked into Marin County Jail. 

3.    Saul Naal Bartolo May, a 33 year old male and resident of San Rafael was arrested for selling cocaine to an undercover officer at a local liquor establishment.  He was booked into Marin County Jail.

4.    Jesse Rodriguez Rojas, a 21 year old male and resident of San Rafael was arrested for selling cocaine to an undercover officer at a local liquor establishment.  He was booked into Marin County Jail.

Funding for this operation was provided by a grant from the California Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) through the department’s Grant Assistance Program.  ABC is a Department of the Business, Consumer Services, and Housing Agency.
