Homicide Suspect Captured in San Rafael

In the early morning hours of June 25th  2017 officers of the San Rafael Police Department were called to the Extended Stay Deluxe Suites at 1775 East Francisco Blvd, on a report of suspected credit card fraud occurring at that location.  Upon arrival they contacted several people in one of the hotel’s rooms. One of the occupants of the room gave a false name to police officers.  During the course of the investigation two people were arrested.  During the booking process at the Marin County Jail, one of the arrestees was identified through live-scan fingerprint analysis as 41 year old Joseph Abraham Darling of Hayward.  Darling had an arrest warrant for homicide in connection to the shooting death of Anton Williams in Hayward on December 7th, 2015.  The other arrestee was identified as 44 year old Christina Marie Salazar of Hayward who had a felony warrant for her arrest for fraud.  Both Darling and Salazar were booked into the Marin County Jail.  The fraud investigation in San Rafael is ongoing, and any inquiries regarding the status of the homicide case in Hayward should be directed to the Hayward Police Department.
