Sacramento Parolee Pleas to 9-years, 4-months State Prison for Pimping and Possession of Methamphetamine for Sales
On June 30th, 2017 the San Rafael Police Department received information from the Santa Rosa Police Department that there was a seventeen-year-old female victim of Human Trafficking possibly in our city.
The San Rafael Special Operations Unit was able to identify the female victim and confirm she was posting advertisements on an internet escort site in San Rafael. Undercover officers located her at a local motel and discovered that the victim was in fear that her trafficker was going to hurt her.
Ofc. Rantissi with the San Rafael Police Department recognized the trafficker as Jeffery Jenkins a 26-year-old male from Sacramento. Jenkins was on Parole for a previous robbery.
Jenkins was located a short time later at the same hotel where the juvenile victim was staying. Upon arrest, police located methamphetamine packaged for sales and over $1,100 cash in Jenkins property.
On October 4, 2017, Jenkins pled guilty to 266H (a) PC, pimping, and 11378 H&S, possession of methamphetamine for sale. As a part of his plea deal, Jenkins will serve nine years and four months in state prison.
The San Rafael Police Department would like to remind people that Human Trafficking does exist in Marin. If you know someone who is or may be a victim, please contact your local law enforcement agency. To learn more, visit www.mcceht.org.
