Arrest Made in Pickleweed Park Homicide

San Rafael CA - On Monday, December 3, 2018 at approximately 6:00 p.m. the San Rafael Police Department received reports of a possible shooting that occurred at Pickleweed Park, 50 Canal Street.

Officers arrived and found twenty one-year-old Errol Friedman, of San Anselmo inside the vehicle. Friedman sustained an apparent gunshot wound. He was confirmed deceased at the scene. Witnesses reported seeing an unknown male running from the area immediately after the shooting. San Rafael Police Detectives are investigating this incident as a homicide.

Through the course of the investigation detectives identified a suspect. San Rafael Police detectives located the suspect this afternoon and took him into custody without incident. The suspect is a seventeen-year-old male resident of Fairfax. He was booked at the Marin County Juvenile Hall on one count of murder.

Detectives are still actively investigating this case and pursuing leads.
