Commercial Burglary Suspect Arrested

San Rafael, CA – On 11/11/19, Kristin Veronika Farrell, a 33-year-old San Rafael resident, was arrested for commercial burglary after she was identified in surveillance video from a commercial burglary that occurred on E Street.

At 3:40 AM, SRPD Dispatch received a call from an arriving employee of a business in the 800 block of E Street.  The employee reported that the front door was open and all the lights were on in the building.

Officers arrived on scene to find that the business had been burglarized. It appeared the suspect entered the business the night before around 10:30 PM, through the locked front door.  After entering, the suspect made her way to the cash register and emptied it of an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect then fled from the scene.

Officers reviewed the high-quality surveillance video footage and recognized the suspect as Kristin Veronika Farrell.

A short time later, an arrest team was sent to locate Farrell at her residence.  As officers were preparing to approach her front door, Farrell opened it on her own and was immediately taken into custody without incident.  It was apparent that Farrell was unaware the police were at her door when she opened it.

Farrell was booked into the Marin County Jail for commercial burglary and violation of probation.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call San Rafael Police at (415) 485-3000. Tips can also be made online at http://www.srpd.org/tips.
