Suspect Arrested for Violation of Domestic Violence Restraining Order and Possession of Drugs for Sale

On January 30, 2020 at about 12:05am, the San Rafael Police Department received a call reporting that a man was “beating up” a female in the bathroom at San Rafael Yacht Harbor at 557 East Francisco Blvd., San Rafael.  The reporting party stated that they could hear a female voice screaming.

SRPD Units arrived and located two people in the bathroom, a male and a female.  The male was identified as Erick Talbot, a 45 year old resident of San Rafael.  SRPD Officers discovered that Talbot had an active domestic violence restraining order prohibiting him from contact with the female that was in the bathroom with him.  Based on that restraining order, SRPD Officer Lorena Vega arrested Talbot.

Officer Vega searched Talbot incident to his arrest and located a large amount of illegal drugs in his possession.  She located 8.72 grams of Heroin, 34.59 grams of Methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and cash.  Based on the evidence, Officer Vega determined that Talbot possessed the drugs with the intent to sell them.

Talbot was booked at the Marin County Jail for Intention Violation of a Domestic Violence Restraining Order, Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale (Methamphetamine), Possession of Narcotics for Sale (Heroin).
