UPDATED TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Caltrans US-101 Central San Rafael Off-Ramp - Second Weekend Closure

San Rafael, CA. – The San Rafael Police Department will have extra officers on hand as Caltrans District 4 (Bay Area) conducts the second of three weekend closures of the Northbound (NB) US-101 Central San Rafael Off-Ramp.  The off-ramp is being closed as part of the Harbor Bridge Replacement Project in Marin County.  The weekend closure is scheduled to start on Friday, October 22, at 7:00 P.M., and reopen the roadway on Saturday, October 23, at 7:00 P.M.

This closure will limit northbound US-101 access to Downtown San Rafael over the weekend and Caltrans will have detours in place which will guide people to Downtown San Rafael.  Caltrans has created maps and directions which can be found on their project website: https://dot.ca.gov/caltrans-near-me/district-4/d4-projects/d4-san-rafael-101-bridge-offramp.  Caltrans’ project website will have the latest issued advisories for this closure.

SRPD will have extra shifts to monitor, evaluate, and conduct traffic control as conditions and patterns will likely change within the city.  SRPD is requesting the public to be mindful and add extra time to your travels as delays are expected to increase during this weekend's closure.
