San Rafael Police Department Investigates Stabbing Incident

On the night of Tuesday, May 14, at approximately 11:00 PM, two individuals sustained serious injuries in a stabbing incident near the 7-Eleven convenience store on Meday Road. Both victims are expected to survive. The San Rafael Police Department has apprehended one suspect in connection with the attack, Darwin Alexius Deleon, a 19-year-old male from San Rafael.

The police began receiving multiple 911 calls around 11:00 PM reporting the stabbings on Medway Road. Upon arrival, officers found two injured individuals, one of whom required immediate life-saving measures. Both victims were transported to a local hospital by the San Rafael Fire Department for emergency treatment.

Investigators are actively working to determine if other individuals were involved in the attack. The motive behind the stabbing remains under investigation, with authorities not ruling out the possibility of gang-related activity. The San Rafael Police Department is diligently processing evidence and pursuing leads to identify any additional suspects or witnesses.

The San Rafael Police Department extends its gratitude to the medical team and officers who provided immediate care. Our thoughts are with the victims' families and friends, and we wish for their speedy recovery. We will be conducting extra patrols in the neighborhood and remain available to support the community.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call San Rafael Police at (415) 485-3000. Tips can also be made online at http://www.srpd.org/tips.
