Multi-County Vehicle Pursuit Ends Safely with Arrest of San Rafael Man
San Rafael, CA. – On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, SRPD arrested Parker Wesley Shaw, a 33-year-old San Rafael resident, after he fled in his vehicle during a warrant service. The pursuit, which began in San Rafael, ended in Napa County, where California Highway Patrol Officers captured Shaw. He was booked into the Marin County Jail on several charges, including the outstanding arrest warrant and fleeing from officers.
Just after 8:30 AM, SRPD officers went to the unit block of Coleman Drive to serve an outstanding arrest warrant for Shaw. The warrant stemmed from his failure to appear in court on a prior arrest for violating a protective order. Officers found Shaw inside his parked vehicle on Coleman Drive and advised him that they were arresting him on a warrant. Shaw refused to cooperate and drove away over a curb and down an embankment. SRPD’s Drone as First Responder (DFR) was immediately deployed to maintain situational awareness.
Officers pursued Shaw from San Rafael to Corte Madera, where he made a U-turn and headed back toward San Rafael. SRPD motorcycle officers assisted in the pursuit until additional SRPD police cars moved into position. SRPD’s DFR was able to monitor the pursuit through San Rafael and parts of Corte Madera.
The pursuit continued northbound through San Rafael onto State Route 37 and into Solano and Napa Counties, where California Highway Patrol officers took over.
The pursuit ended when Shaw drove to a golf course near Highway 12 and Highway 29 in Napa County. Shaw fled on foot but was eventually captured by CHP officers. There were no injuries or collisions.
CHP Officers brought Shaw back to San Rafael, where SRPD officers then booked him into the Marin County Jail on the outstanding warrant. They also charged him with violating a protective order, resisting arrest, and evading officers with disregard for public safety.
